>A Tale from the Ozaukee County Obama Headquarters

>After probably the longest lines I’ve ever seen at my polling place (a near half hour wait–at 10am), I finally voted.

Personally, I will take these long lines as a positive sign.

On the way there, my mother shared an interesting story about the local (as in county) Obama Headquarters. Apparently, people going there to visit/get information/volunteer start out by entering in very slowly almost like they don’t want to be seen entering in there. (Much like going to one’s first gay bar.) Clearly they must have started relaxing their nerves since–and I know I have said this before, but I still can’t believe it–the amount of Obama signs here is unbelievably high.
Hilariously, the centre of McCain/Palin signage is in front of a barren lot and next to an abandoned restaurant.

    >good voter turnout tends to help democrats (but bush got reelected in 2004 despite strong turnout).
