All that being said, I somewhat understand where he is coming from:
- The population density of Japan is such that perhaps the solitude of a foreign airport (even if that airport serves one of the largest cities in the world) is quite appealing.
- Airports allow you to experience a country–somewhat–with a degree of comfort and security.
Nonetheless, he’s living on kindness and hasn’t showered. So it can’t be all that admirable.
